The Inspiration

I love pulling characters from my books, and this time, I borrowed a situation featuring Kassidy Spence, heroin of the paranormal novel They All Died Smiling. This is from the second book, Hypnotic Deception, from when she is baking like a mad woman to help prepare for the engagement party of her brother (really a cousin but Aunt Beck raised her.)

Genre: Mainstream story but using characters from They All Died Smiling, a paranormal novel available everywher online, in stores, and at your local library

“Dont you dare snatch an engagement party brownie.” I shut the oven door and spun in time to see JJ jam his hand into his pocket.

“Aw, how’d you know?”

“Um…we grew up together, remember?”

He harrumphed. I started the cookie dough.

“Hey Kass, how’d you like to do me a favor?”

“JJ, I’m up to my elbows in flour and frosting.”

“Just add a pan of granola bars to the list.”

“Did you look in the pantry?” I brandished the mixer and advanced.

He held up stop hands. “they’re for Rafael.”

“Raffi wants a granola bar mitzvah?
